Absolutely amazing food...cosy and comfortable restaurant. My only complaint is the red wine was cold. UPDATE 27/12/25 apologies if my first review offended you...Again food and service absolutely excellent. Glad they took my feedback on board and the red wine was much better this time around.

Another great meal in the Ashoka Southside. Food was excellent as usual. As was the service (thanks to Jenny for looking after us). I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere as it was a bit quiet. However, this suited us perfectly. Great to have a regular go to restaurant pretty much on our doorstep.

We decided to nip into the Ashoka for a cheeky curry last night. MoMo was lovely and did a great job of looking after us, clearly very experienced as she took the whole order, correctly, without writing anything down! Hubby's king prawn starter was absolutely fabulous & delivered to the table on a sizzling hot plate. I had poori with garlic mushrooms which was very tasty (but I preferred the king prawns lol). See attached pics. I had to zoom in on the prawns but my pics still didn't do them justice! We had chicken tikka butter masala, rice and garlic nan which again was all gorgeous but I forgot to take a picture of all that. Quieter during the week compared to weekends understandably but the tunes were good so no complaints from me.

Lovely meal with great service from the staff. However, our experience was impacted by a table of three who were loud and complained about every item brought to their table. This did not stop them eating their food and asking to take their leftovers home though! The waitress dealt with them patiently and with courteous respect, despite their rude and disrespectful attitude and behaviour. She could not have done more in my opinion. We will return not just for the delicious food and ambience, but for the outstanding service.

Had such a fantastic meal here. The Coconut King Prawns and the Rajasthani Laal Maas were absolute standouts: rich, flavourful, and honestly some of the best dishes we’ve had in Glasgow recently. Service was wonderful too. Jenny took great care of us, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely.

A fantastic place to eat. Food was great. Atmosphere was perfect and the staff were very friendly - especially Jenny who made sure we were well looked after. We will be back!

First time dining with Ashoka in the southside and it's the first of many. Service was polite and prompt without approaching too many times when eating. Atmosphere was perfect as it wasn't too busy. The food we were served was so fresh and full of flavour, each dish was piping hot when served and exceeded our expectations.
